How To Hit On Happiness

Here is an another gem from Oliver's article (see previous posts):
"In a study entitled After The Movies, some crafty Australian researchers grilled people leaving the cinema about their views on politics and morality; they discovered that those leaving happy films were optimistic and lenient, while those leaving aggressive or sad ones were far more pessimistic and strict. (They tried to control for the fact that different kinds of people might choose different kinds of movies in the first place.)
I bet you have already guessed what I am going to suggest. That's right. Build up a collection of comedy
DVDs.
I have lots of them. Laurel and Hardy, The Birdcage,
Shakespeare In Love, Jim Carrey etc,.
There was a study done years ago that watching comedy movies helped people who were in extreme pain. It produces chemicals that are good for you.
So you can lift your mood and, at the same, give yourself a health tonic.
I watch them when I'm in a good mood so that I can feel even better. You can't feel too good.
I know people have that saying:
'I felt great but it was too good to last.'
But you can feel great and you can make it last.
All day and every day, when you know how.

More Health, Wealth And Lots Of Love

I am going to discuss several important points that he makes. Here is the one that I want mention:-
Oliver writes
"I think of myself as generally happy, but every so often I'm struck by a fleeting mood of unhappiness or anxiety that quickly escalates. On a really bad day, I may spend hours stuck in angst-ridden maunderings, wondering if I need to make major changes in my life. It's usually then that I realise I've forgotten to eat lunch. One tuna sandwich later, the mood is gone. And yet, "Am I hungry?" is never my first response to feeling bad: my brain, apparently, would prefer to distress itself with reflections on the ultimate meaninglessness of human existence than to direct my body to a nearby branch of Pret A Manger."

Let's reduce that to basics.
Your blood sugar controls your mood, controls your thinking and controls your behaviour. One way of making use of this is to eat smaller meals more often.
My eating plan is not to go more than three or four hours without eating. DO NOT use this as an excuse to eat rubbishy stuff like chocolate or crisps or cake.
This is an eating PLAN. Plan it. If I think that I will be out for too long, I take a healthy snack out with me.
You will not buy a healthy snack over a shop counter.
Perhaps fresh fruit.
Small, healthy snacks every three or four hours throughout the day. Don't forget, your first food must be as soon as you get up. When you get up, your blood sugar is low because you haven't eaten for so long. You must get it up as soon as possible. If you don't, it stays low all day. And you will be suffering the low mood that Oliver mentions in his article. Eat as soon as you get up.
Later is too late. You will not get any warning. The effects of low blood sugar will creep up on you and you just lose all the edge and energy and that get up and go that you are going to need for your new life.

Deep down Health, Wealth And Lots Of Love

I am going to discuss several important points that he makes. Here is the one that I want mention:-

"The first, as Schwarz points out, is the forgetting: knowing there's a simple fix doesn't mean you'll remember it when you need to."

This is of tremendous important. We have all had this experience. You make up your mind that, in future, you will NEVER do a certain thing again. Have too much alcohol, smoke a cigarette, eat chocolate. Whatever!
However, suddenly you find yourself half way through doing it again! Your plan has crumpled.
This is a a key point in all plans for self improvement.
All those plans, promises and vows you made to yourself just slip your mind. You forget about them.
There is a lot of wise, old sayings for this. Such as:
If you fall off the horse, you have to get back on.
This may work with horse riders but it doesn't seem to work with people who want to make changes in their
life.
Nearly everybody who wants to make improvements
in their lives, falls into the 'just forgot for a moment' trap.
BUT they don't get back on the horse. They give up. There are many complicated reasons for this. The behaviours that I mention. Alcohol, overeating and smoking may be very simple behaviours but they are very powerful. The roots are buried deep inside you.
There are physical, mental and social connections.
They are buried deep inside your psyche and you have to be able to go down to that level in order to stop them. Your plans to make all changes in your life, all your plans for more health, wealth and lots of love, have to be at that level.
There are ways to make this happen. Ways to embed your plans, wishes and desires deep inside your persona.
They will not just be easily forgotten thoughts in your head.
They will be strong forces working deep inside you all the time.
They will be a real part of you.
The real you.
The new, real you.

Health, Wealth And Lots Of Love?

There are lots of important facts in this new research.
Ones that show that a lot of the wisdom that has been
put out in this area are real facts.
People read a book, watch a tape or go to a lecture to learn how to make changes in their quality of life. They try the advice and lessons given and somehow nothing happens.
The article explains that these pieces of knowledge do work. And there been many, other, different research programmes This article only mentions a couple.
So what goes wrong?
Why don't the books and tapes and lectures work?
Why aren't you enjoying health, wealth and lots of love?
These findings do work. The scientists and researchers have proven it time and time again.
So why aren't they working for YOU?
The reason they don't work for you is that you are not working with them in the right way.
The people who advise you on WHAT to do, do not tell you HOW to do it.
When they are doing their work they have an exact, easy, perfect way of doing it so they that they make good progress and get good results. Researchers all over the world use the same methods.
They know exactly what they want to work with. They take notes on what they are doing, they ignore the poor results. They concentrate on the good results. In other words they have a PLAN to succeed. If they don't get successful results, they get fired.
And this is what you did not get from those books, and tapes and lectures. They tell you what you should be doing but they don't tell you how you should be doing it. The stuff they give you is good stuff but you find that you just don't know how to use it. You try it, you get some results and then it falls away.
This is why I have designed my Better Life Plan. To provide what these other methods don't.
You will work on your life, the way those researchers do.
Let me repeat what I said above:
"They know exactly what they want to work with. They take notes on what they are doing, they ignore the poor results. They concentrate on the good results. In other words they have a PLAN to succeed. If they don't get successful results, they get fired."
And you will succeed.
My plan will take you from where you are now, and it doesn't matter where you are now, to where you want to be, and it doesn't matter where you want to be.
If you really want it, you will get it.
All you have to do is follow the plan.

Study The Back Posts

Sorry that I haven't posted for a few days. I have been working on my Squidoo page ( link is near the top on the main blog page). I hope you spent the time looking back over the stuff that I have already written here.
This is important. You must read it, soak it up and make it part of your thinking. As I have already told you, you have to understand the thinking, you have to believe that you can do it and then, and only then, will you get the sort of life that you would really love to have.

This will not be like the last book you read. This will be the book that YOU want to make the improvements in YOUR life that YOU really want. As I write it it will be free to read here. Are you happy about the way your life is going?
Or do you feel as if you are going nowhere, your love life is just a laugh and your money situation gives you depression?

I have put together what I call the Better Life plan.
Here is a look at what our Better Life plan is. This plan will teach you how to move your life up to the next level. First of all let's look at what that next level should be, could be and will be. Obviously I can't deal with each new person personally. So please let me generalize at first. Just as a sample to show you. Do not be put off because this is only a test drive of the plan. You are going to find out how the plan will work, will work so easily and will work for you. You will learn how to use the plan. Then YOU and only you, yourself, will use the plan to make improvements in each and every area of your life.
Let's look at the plan itself for a moment. The plan is EEEZZZEEE. Understanding the generalised plan is as easy as understanding that you should put your socks on before your shoes. Using it for your own life is as easy as understanding that you should put your shoes on before you tie your laces. I have spent most of my life working on this plan. I have used it working with a few thousand people. It follows a simple logical path. The plan is perfect and if you apply it perfectly, it will give you perfect results. If you don't apply it perfectly, you will still get great results.If you only give some attention, you will still get good results. At it's hard level, it is about as hard as doing your favourite word puzzle. It is designed to get easier and easier as you use it. In NLP they call this a GENERATIVE model. It feeds on it's own power and gets bigger, stronger and better. You will not have to force it. There is a Master Level which you will hope to achieve more and more often. On these occasions you first find out what you want, then you work out where it will happen and then you put yourself there and just let it happen to you. It depends on you. How much do you really want all the goodies that life has for you? Notice above I said that you APPLY the plan, I did not say that you WORK at it. If you are trying hard, working at it or straining, you will be doing it wrongly. This is your chance. Do you want to take it?
Let's have a look at our look at our sample plan:
First you must get a clear picture of EXACTLY what you want.
Then you will learn to have a perfect understanding, a strong grasp on and a perfect control of our methods, techniques and tools. When you know these you will have a tremendous foundation. You can plant your feet firmly on this foundation. You can then build exactly the sort of life that you want.
You will be using any and all methods. Not only traditional time tested techniques but also the latest findings from universities all over the world.

The background to the plan and an essential part of the foundation is that you develop the mindset, beliefs and attitude that YOU can get a better life, that you are entitled to get a better life and that you are going to get that better life. Meditation 1

Meditation has been around for thousands of years. It has been a way of life for uncountable people. For just as long uncountable people have judged it to be nonsense. And they judged it wrongly. Tests have been done all around the world. The scientist have proven, past any reasonable doubt that it will work. Recent research has revealed that it can and does have a deep effect in promoting health, recovery from illness, and creating substantive changes in your life.
So it has been proven that it can completely change your life. So why doesn't everybody do it?
The answer is simple. There are thousands of different schools of thought out there.
Let me give you an example. Here is some advice from a Chinese Meditation Master:
'You can float up to heaven on a sea of wine.' And there are many masters who would regularly drink themselves senseless in order to achieve a meditation effect.
Can you imagine the deep effect in promoting health, recovery from illness, and changes in the brain that that believing that bit of bullshit advice could have?
Here in the U.K we are having a national crisis because of alcoholism. Teenagers are dying from the effects of alcoholic indulgence.
Other schools recommend leaving your family, friends and job and isolating yourself from the world.
Here is how many meditators meditate:
Focus your mind on a single word, phrase or sound. Repeat over and over. Some schools say to repeat it mentally, other schools advise you to say it out loud and other schools teach you to chant it out loud in a group.
Some methods may ask you to look at an image, others tell you to imagine an image in your mind.
Some groups have a nihilistic philosophy and others have a deeply traditional religious type of structure.
All of these schools, groups and methods work at some level. They will all have deep effects in promoting health, recovery from illness, and creating substantive changes in your life. But, and here it is a BIG BUT, some are better than others. But, and here it is another BIG BUT how do you find out which will be the best one for you?
That is easy. I'll tell you which one will work best for you.

Most of us know how passing through an airport when going on holiday can turn into an absolute nightmare. You may have had an experience yourself. You will have heard about other peoples' nightmares. You may have seen the TV programmes about them.
Following the lesson I am talking about, you would want to have excitement, fun and enjoyment going to the airport, in the airport and on the plane.
You may not achieve this perfectly, but, you are going to have a lot of fun finding out how close you can come.
Think about how you can start using this lesson TODAY!
YES!
YOU!
TODAY!
You don't have to look for something big. Try something simple.
Here is how I get started in a simple way.
It's a bright day. And warm for this for this time of year. I'm not going to waste it standing up on a smelly bus, getting thrown all over the place. I'll go out a bit earlier and walk into town. On the walk I'll pass at least 20 great coffee places. I'll drop into one. I don't know which one yet. I'll see how I feel when I'm out.
I know the workers in most of them and I'll share some friendly chat. Then I'll get my notebook out and start doing some planning. So simple. But as I write it, I'm feeling good already about the prospect.
Start the day in a simple way. Get that good feeling going and then you can start going for something bigger and more ambitious.
But let's get back on track.

I am a professional Tarot Reader. I am going to be putting readings up here on my blog for all of my friends. (Yes that means YOU. lol.)

Feeling Fed Up?

Spanish researchers have found a way to stop you from feeling fed up!
Just eat the right food.
You have to eat lots of anti-oxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. To do this the researchers recommend more meals rich with olive oil, fruit, whole grains, fish, and nuts.
People who eat eat those foods regularly have a 30% less chance of developing depression.
The number of people here in this country suffering from depression is soaring higher and higher every year. In America, students who were signing on to study were
profiled. One out of every six was being treated for clinical depression.
The increasing number of people suffering from depression is really alarming. And here is a simple way to help one out every three.
This is known as the Mediterranean Diet. If you go to any book clearance shop, they will have two or three books about it for about a pound. Or your local library will have a load of them.
Strangely enough it is called the Mediterranean diet because it is the standard diet for people who live in the Mediterranean area.lol.
It is also recommended as a diet for people who suffer from heart problems or who are overweight.
So there you go. Hit your target weight, have a healthy heart and get happier with one simple move.
Switch to the Mediterranean Diet. It also includes tomatoes (which the researchers didn't mention). Tomatoes are full of anti-oxidants.
N.B Particularly if they have been pasteurised.
I already eat plenty of the above foods apart from nuts. After reading about this research, I will increase the number of them.

But, you may say, what does Arnold Schwarznegger have to do with me? And quite rightly so. What he wanted in life may not be you may want. So let me explain.
You may not want to become the King of the Bodybuilders. But you do want to be the best possible you that you could possibly be, don't you? Of course you do!
You may not want to be King of the Action Movie Heroes. But you do want to have the best possible life that you can possibly have, don't you? Of course you do!
You may not want to be the King of California. But you do want to get up every morning and pack as much fun, enjoyment and laughter into the day as you possibly can, don't you? Of course you do!
And Arnold is a man who has got and become and done everything that he wanted in life.
And this is what this is all about.
Not about what Arnold did.
Not about what I'm telling you to do.
Not about you what friends and family tell you that you should do.
WHAT you want!
What YOU want!
What you WANT!
And whatever you want to get, whatever you want to become, whatever you want to do, that is what you are going to get, become and do.
So why aren't already getting those things?
Either you don't have a plan or the plan is useless or the plan doesn't work.
Perhaps, because your plan is not working, you should try another plan. If you want to get all the goodies that make life so good then you have to get a plan that works for you.
If you can believe that, then you must try my plan.
When you do start using the plan you will find that it does work, it will work for you and you will enjoy every moment of it. Believe me.
So let's start to look at what you want.

Arnold Schwartzenegger and NLP

I have been going on a bit about Big Arnie so let me tell you the reason behind it. Arnold is a living example of what NLP will do for you.
I'm not saying that Arnold has learned NLP as such.
What I am saying is that he was using all the methods of NLP before anybody had ever heard of it. And that includes the people who created NLP.
When they were creating NLP for mental therapy purposes, he had been using similar stuff for years out on the streets.
He had been using it in the gruelling hell of professional bodybuilding, in the pressure cooker of Hollywood, in the outright warfare of American politics.
He had been using it to fulfil his vision, to be the best that he could possibly be and to push himself to ever higher levels of achievement.
Early NLP was based only for counselling people who had mental and emotional issues. Anthony Robbins pushed it into other areas.
He used his version to train people for better performance in every desired area of life.
Let me put it this way.
Early NLP helped people with mental and emotional issues to achieve a 'normal' level of functioning.
Anthony Robbins trained 'normal' people to push their lives to higher levels of success in any area of their lives.
But Arnold was USING all the ideas, attitudes and methods that the NLPers would come up with, years before they did so.
Any NLPers should read EVERYTHING that they can beg, borrow or steal about and by Arnold. His life story is a textbook for DOING NLP for real, in real life.

More Arnold

As I said before, Arnold is a perfect example of how to become a super achiever in real life.
Let me repeat it so that it sinks in:
He is always a planner. He plans constantly. He writes down his plans fully.
There is a tremendous lesson for you, as you will see later. And here is another tremendous lesson from a master achiever:
He plans his plans.
He puts them on a timeline.
And he examines them every week.
And that's not the most important lesson for you.
Here it is.
He puts in place plans for all areas of his life. His business, personal enjoyment and family life. You may think this is a bit extreme so let me explain it a bit. When Terry O'Neill was over there, Arnold had two phones. At 5p.m one phone was turned off. VERY few people had the other phone number number. This number was reserved totally for friends, family and fun. It was forbidden on this line to mention work, finance or business.
What a way to plan your life and balance everything out.
Because of the effort and thought that he put into doing this, sometimes a project in part of his plans reaches achievement quicker than expected.
He doesn't pat himself on the back and sit down,
he sits down and puts a new plan in place.
A bolder, bigger, more testing plan if he can.
While he was passing through all the above stages of his life he was making a great impression on the people all around him. He is unfailingly friendly, happy and inspirational to everybody he meets.
He was a big hitter with the big hitters that he was now mixing with.
High level people of power noticed this and persuaded him to have get involved in politics.
A new arena, a fresh challenge to struggle with,a new test for him. Arnold has always been a player, he loved to test himself himself and now he was going to play the biggest game in the world. Politics.
He entered the battle for the Governorship of California.
He approached this new challenge with all of his powerful motivation, his tremendous personal skills and his ability to plan in perfect detail.
He put all his bounding energy, his unfailing good humour and his ability to meet all the twisting challenges hurled at him by his rivals into the contest.
And he won.
When he first challenged them, they thought it was a joke. But he wasn't joking.
And he won.
He beat highlyskilled opponents. They had more experience, more knowledge and, it must be said, more slyness. He had more energy, more openness and more class.
And he won.
He won by boundless energy, unfailing good spirits and a refusal to accept any negative thoughts.
Every move was planned. Every plan was changed to meet the constantly changing battle. Every thought, attitude and act was a positive one.
He became Governor of California.
He had been a boy from a very humble background. One of the highlights he remembers as a child was when the family saved up enough money to buy a fridge! He now had one of the biggest jobs in America.
If California was a separate country, it would be the 8th
richest in the world!
King of the Bodybuilders!

King of California!
There are said to be a large body of important people who would like to change the American law so that he can run for the Presidency. He can't at present because he was born in Austria. But, as I said, very important people want to change this law.
Now my friend, what should all this mean for you?

Part 3: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Real Life Lesson

Here is another event that Terry witnessed on a movie set while working with Arnold.
As usual Arnold was making sure that his friends shared his good luck. He had got as many as possible work on his current movie.
One of these friends was causing trouble and had started a feud with one of the film studio's camera crew. This friend was a massive, internationally known bodybuilder and was bullying the worker. Because of the massively muscled bulk of this six foot six bodybuilder, the cameraman was terrified. He told his boss that he was walking out on his job. His boss told Arnold.
Now the bodybuilder was a very close friend of Arnold, they had shared many good times over many years and
Arnold was now looking after him by getting him top paid work on all his movies.
This was a bit of bother that Arnold did not need in the delicate business of making a movie. But because of their close, personal, long time friendship Arnold just told him to stop messing about. But the bodybuilder again gave the man a hard time. Arnold gave him a strict telling off, that he was supposed to be Arnold's friend but here he was causing him problems and that a silly personal dislike was interferring with business. Because Arnold had got him the job, it looked bad on him and he told him that there would be trouble if there was any more of it.
But the bodybuilder, obviously relying on his and Arnold's close friendship, carried on the bullying.
Arnold called him in and said that he had caused too much trouble and that he was fired off that movie and that he would never work on one of Arnold's movies again. But, because there had been no personal problem between them, he still considered him a friend and would continue to get him work in other peoples' films. This was a promise that Arnold kept. His friend got bigger and better parts in films. But not Arnold's. There are several lessons here.
You must not allow people to stop you or cause you problems when you are working on your plan, your vision or your dream.
This situation WILL arise. Believe me. To EVERY one of you. I will write about this soon. It is very important.
Arnold did not get angry although his friend did. He just did what was necessary and kept his promise to his friend to get him work.

Part 2: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Real Life Lesson

Big Arnie has the most famous face in the world. He is recognised by all who know him as being totally happy, a firm friend and a superb achiever. His reputation in these areas give great interest and many lessons for all of us here. His photo is recognised by everybody in any country.
He was voted many times the man with the most muscles in the world.
He was the youngest ever Mr. Universe winner at 22 years of age. He won this title an unheard of 7 times.
He was and still is one of the most popular bodybuilding superstars ever. He followed this up by writing some all time best selling books in this field.
From an early age he had talked about winning body building fame, going to America and becoming a famous film star. He had achieved the first stage of his vision. He had beaten everybody there was to beat in bodybuilding.
Having conquered this sub-culture so completely that he was known as the King of Bodybuilders. Arnie looked around for fresh fields to tackle.
The second stage of his dream was to become a famous film star. He had already made some movies and documentaries. He now moved into making movies full time.
He worked his way up into bigger and better movies with bigger and better budgets. He hit the heights with his part in Terminator 2. This movie, at that time, and for a long time after was the highest earning movie of all time. His pay rose in line with this and he was the highest paid actor per performance in Hollywood during this period.
He cashed in on his success by directing several movies.
This rounded out his childhood dreams nicely.
You must remember that Arnie had voiced these plans in his early teens. And now he had fulfilled them.
Now another aspect of Arnie's personal powers showed itself. He is always a planner. He plans constantly. He writes down his plans fully.
There is a tremendous lesson for you, as you will see later. And here is another tremendous lesson from a master achiever:
He plans his plans.
He puts them on a timeline.
And he examines them every week.
And that's not the most important lesson for you.
Here it is.
He puts in place plans for all areas of his life. Even his personal, enjoyment and family life. You may think this is a bit extreme so let me explain it a bit. When Terry O'Neill was over there, Arnold had two phones. At 5p.m one phone was turned off. VERY few people had the other phone number number. This number was reserved totally for friends, family and fun. It was forbidden to mention work, finance or business.
What a way to plan your life.
When the mobile phones became popular, Terry put this plan in place by buying two phones. Before this I had been with Terry when his phone would ring every three minutes. He now had the perfect solution.
Back to Arnie. Sometimes a project in part of his plan would be reaching achievement quicker than expected.
He doesn't pat himself on the back and sit down,
he sits down and puts a new plan in place.
Let me flesh that out a bit. Amongst his many interest,
Arnie is a property multi-millionaire. Let's suppose he has a property purchase project in place which he hopes to have finalised in 6 months. It looks that it will be finalised in four months.
He will start looking for another property to purchase.
Or another project to concentrate on. Or a fun event to get involved in.
There are many hidden lessons from the above for all of us and we will be exploring them at a later time.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Real Life Lesson

Do you feel like your having lots of fun?
Or are you feeling fed up?
I find it funny that when you see a friend and you ask them how thing are, they often answer that things are not too bad. But as the conversation continues you quickly discover that things are far from fine. Because they then start to tell you about their problems. Plenty of problems. Big ones and petty ones.
People are always talking about what went wrong. How many bad things have happened to them. How close to the edge of disaster they are. The next thing is that you are joining in the spirit of the thing. You start trying to outdo them with the number the size and severity of your problems.
Now you may have been having a great day (and I am going to tell about how to have a great day, every day). But now your mind is full of negativity, you have lost that great feeling.
I'll come back to that in bit but before I do let me tell you an interesting story.
Terry O'Neill is a Karate champion who is a lifelong friend of mine. He knew Arnold Scwarzenneger when Big Arnie, as he was known, was the greatest body-builder in the world.
When Big Arnie got in to movies, he got Terry work as an actor and martial arts technical adviser in some of his films.
Terry, Dennis Martin and myself are three lifelong mates. We are gym rats, movie fanatics and keen students of the human condition. And for years we used to meet up three times a week in the Cavern Club coffee shop in Liverpool.
As I said, we are gym rats and movie fanatics, Dennis and I couldn't wait for Terry to get back from each trip to tell us tales about working on the movies and working out in the gym with Big Arnie.
Here is one of them.
On a film set they start work very early for variety of reasons. It wouldn't matter how early. And I'm talking about 4 a.m starts! Big Arnie would get get up two hours before work AND before BREAKFAST and go through a gruelling weightlifting work-out. This was like water to a duck to Terry. One of his bigger buzzes back in Liverpool was to borrow the keys from the gym owner, get me out of bed and go for a flat out work out. On Christmas morning!
Anyhow, back to Hollywood! (If only. lol)
Terry immediately fell into Arnold's training plan. He said that Arnold was perfect model for how to get the most out of life. He would push himself and everybody else to the limit in the training but, at the same time, he would be cracking jokes, playing pranks and having fun every minute, all the time, non-stop.
After the gym session, Arnold would have breakfast but only with a gang of specially invited friends. No hangers-on, opportunists or favour seekers.
If the film set was in a Hollywood the meal would be in a certain cafe and nobody would be allowed to join the group without Arnold's permission.
One thing that Terry had observed was that Arnold had no time for negative talk or negative people.
Here is the point of this post.
One morning, in the cafe, after the work-out, one of Arnold's friend started going on about some on-going problem he was having.
Arnold interrupted him and said:
"This is the second time that I've told you about moaning and complaining. If I have to tell you again, you won't be training with us or eating with us."
This had a tremendous effect on Terry (and me and Dennis when he told us). Terry would often repeat the story. And Dennis would. And myself. (I've just repeated it again lol)
This is a lesson about negativity, negative situations and negative people. You must learn how to avoid them.

The Science of Happiness2

There used to be no Science of Happiness. Everybody believed that you had no control over it. You couldn't control when it came, you couldn't control how long it stayed and you couldn't control how strong it was when it was here.
They were all wrong. You can control it. You can control it in all of those areas. How often it comes, how long it stays here and how to supersize it. But, before going into how, let me share with you the new 'Science of Happiness'.
Neuroscientists, psychologists and researchers all over the world are establishing what makes people happy, happier and happiest in all areas of their life. The problem is that these investigators are not doing this to make you and me happier. They don't do it in order to make themselves happier. They do it to let their bosses and their fellow scientists know how CLEVER they are.
And being clever is not being happy.
Being recognised as being clever will bring a temporary buzz of happiness. We all know this. We have all had this. But it will fade. Let me share this with you.
You do something clever. People say thing like:
"I like that"
"That's clever"
"You're pretty smart"
You immediately feel a warm glow of recognition. That is a happy feeling. We've all had it.
But it is, in my opinion, not a good base for the happiness lifestyle that I want to share with people.
Why not?
Because it follows all the rules of the OLD ideas about happiness.
First of all your happiness has to come from other people. And they may not give it.
They may not mention how clever you are.
They may only mention it briefly.
They may never mention it again.
So you see, you have no control over when it comes, how long it lasts or how powerful it is.
You must learn that control over your happiness lifestyle must not rely on the behaviour of other people.
You must learn how to generate your own happiness.
You must learn to control your life for yourself, for your benefit, for your happiness.

This is your life . YOUR life. It doesn't belong to anybody else. Nobody can tell you what to do.
You don't have to do anything that you don't have to do and that means that you can do anything that you wish with your life.
Play the guitar, paint paintings, dance. Do what makes you happy.
Start doing it now. Do it with style, do it with enthusiasm, do it with joy.
Do things that you want to do and stop doing what you don't want to do. Why be lonely? why be unfulfilled? why be unhappy?
YOU are in control.
So take control.

Start YOUR better life NOW

Start YOUR better life NOW

Everybody wants a life that is full of love, wealth and happiness. So why do so many of you suffer unhappiness, loneliness and disappointment? The answer is, in short, because you don't know HOW to make the changes that you need and want and should have. And the project that I am setting out aims to show you how to do that. How to move your life up to a higher level. It's your right as a human being. You're entitled to it. And I am going to make sure that you get it. Unfortunately, I am not very good with computers. I am having problems getting everything down in an easy to follow way.
I am having a lot of trouble handling my stuff here on Facebook (look for Tom McNally, Manchester) and on Myspace because of the way these programs work.
Here is an outline of what we will be doing with this project.
1) I will be distributing a free ebook which will change your ideas about happiness completely and start you off on a life full of happiness. This will be ready soon. Certainly before Christmas.
2) There will be free training for you in a blog format.
3) There will be a forum for you for trading ideas and experiences.
4) There will be group meetings, group lectures and group trainings. I have spent 30 years doing these. There will be no trouble getting them going. I know that they will be be both successful and popular.
A very important part of the programme would be to be able to meet other people in groups to network in real life, test and compare experiences. This is important but not necessary. You can use the programme on your own.
My first objective is to get a group going locally (for me LOL). If you live within travelling distance of Liverpool, you can look forward to taking part in this part of the plan. You should be enjoying a better life very soon. Full of fun, new friends with similar ideas and, more important, more happiness.
I am an NLPer. I specialise in what works. This programme is based on what will work. It will work for YOU, when you start working with it. First we must get a group together to get started with meetings in Liverpool.
I have to get out to people in the Liverpool on the net. Does anybody have any knowledge about how to do this using the net? Please let me know.
