Happiness? Are You Kidding?
What Are We Here For?
Let’s consider the reason for us being here on Earth. We are here to enjoy life in all it’s many wonders. To do this we must make this a better place to live in. To live a useful life while we are here, we must use all our talent, time and energy to spread the message of Love, Peace and Happiness.
When you read the above, you probably thought: Oh, No! Are you kidding? I have enough trouble getting to work/Or looking for a job/Or sorting out all these rows with my partner. Can’t you sort the world out and fit me into a good position in it?
Now it’s my turn to say: Are you kidding? If I could do that and charge everybody who wanted it £1(U.K), I could get enough cash to buy California. LOL.
It doesn’t work that way. I can’t do it for you, but I can teach you . Nobody can give you Love, Peace and Happiness. You have to create it yourself. So now it’s your turn to say: Are you kidding? I can’t make the whole world a better place to live in.
How Can We Do That
And you are right! That would be a massive job indeed. Just like eating an elephant. But you know the way to eat an elephant, don’t you. One bite at a time. And this is what you will do. In Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) we call this ‘Chunking Down’.What you do is break a big task down into small bite sized pieces. Pieces that you can handle easily. So you can forget about the whole world and even your street and even your house for now. Forget about me doing it for you, forget about you doing it for other people and concentrate on you doing it for yourself. That is a big enough bite for you to chew on. So let’s break it down a bit.
Working On Yourself
Let’s chunk that down further into three bites:
1) Your beliefs. What you believe that you can do.
2) Your attitudes. How you approach things.
3) Your behaviour. Things that you do
Getting Happier
So how do you go about increasing the amount of Love, Peace and Happiness in those three areas of your life. Well, you could start Googling them. The trouble with Googling them is that it takes a lot of time and with the good results you als0 get a lot of rubbish. Or you could join The Happy People at http://ping.fm/Hg9lH You will become an expert in great living. Then, when you are enjoying your full share of life’s goodies, then, when you have reached the level where you are supposed be, then you can think about changing the world.

Can You Be Single And Happy?

Many, many Psychological studies have been done that show that people who are in relationships are happier, healthier and live longer than people who are single. Here is an article/review about a book that shows the other side of the coin. What the article/book says is that living on your own doesn’t mean that you have to be unhappy. This is very true. I am sure that any single person will get a lot of benefits from reading it.
The article says that some people who are in a long term relationship can be sad, unhappy or lonely. Again this is very true.
This looks like an excellent book with lots of great advice in it. But how about the people who are in bad relationships? What are they to do?
I already have loads and loads (and more loads lol) of blog post about what unhappy people, single or in relationships should do, could do and must do. But what about people who are in relationships and are unhappy?
To answer this question would take more than this article. To find out more you should read this book and study the articles on my blog. You can find help by studying studying meditation, your spirituality, Karma and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
NLP has a programme called the Logical Levels. It helps you to understand how to know if you need changes in your life, what changes to make and how to make them. The highest, most important level can be called Spirituality, Your Purpose In Life for or even God. This is where your happiness must be placed. All other levels must be placed below this. You must always be seeking to to increase the amount of happiness in your life and the lives of the people around you. Doing this will make you happier, healthier and build up your good Karma. While you are doing this, you must be sure not to hurt other people. If you do you will cause bad Karma for yourself. This bad Karma could cause you unhappiness, illness and other problems. You must plan carefully to live your life at the highest levels of happiness, health and helping others.
Your best plan is to start NOW!
